Yep been back in manchester all this week, traffic has been a complete pain, thankfully this week back local again saw you right near Boundary car care too I was on my way to the sticker man (round the corner from boundary)
I did try several times turning power off etc, spoke a girl@telewest last night who couldnt stop laughing when I said it has the word bint in the display, she sent a signal down to the box last night but that didnt sort it
Anyway here is the unit

Found that our box plays up when the remote batteries are flat - keeps turning off. The Telewest boxes seem to have a mind of their own though
Im sure ours has displayed that or something similar, you tried disconnecting all the wires from the back including unscrewing the co-axial cable and pulling the card out of the front (behind flap on the left hand side in the lower slot)?

Yeah Ive noticed that when the batteries are on their way out, you press channel up, and the volume goes down, none of the buttons do what they are supposed to do
Ill try all the coax stuff too, hadnt thought of that

Telewest with a sense of humour???
If you hold down the arrow left and arrow right front panel buttons on power up you get the engineering menu. Dunno if trawling those will give you clues? Un screw all connections and re-connectto try too.
God! I'm still giggling!!!
