Just been to the flix, for some reason i thought it was free parking after 6pm

Parked up @ 8.30pm, came back @ 10.15pm to find a sticky fine thing on my window.

I know different councils will have different rules but WTF! Why charge for parking THAT late. Its not like they need to keep the numbers down. There was only about 12 cars in the whole 5 tier multi-storey.

In parts of london you must pay until 24 hours aday.... It s great to see the monkeys getting abused at 3 oclock in the morning giving out tickets...

Cheat ..it the best way. Most people I know use a moped etc and cover the plate tax disc.. The police have sometimes taken a look.

or they put the car in someone elses address etc...Why not..We have paid to use the roads.Its fukking stupid in London.

All sorted, went into the council offices with my ticket that had strangely fallen off my window and he cancelled it

any 1 ever thought get a number plate made up say your reg is R123 GTT get a plate made that says R124 GTT and when u go into a car park (use velco) swap the number plates thus save on parking any tickets can get chucked away without worry about any follow ups OK it mite make a tad bit of hassle for the person who owns R124 GTT but Im sure they can prove their car wasnt even in the area at the time so the council dont get any1 to pay up and you get free parking

Nice idea Dave, pity they'll probably give you a bigger fine for displaying the wrong tax disc, or at least that would be my luck

yeah but how can they give u a bigger fine for the wrong tax disc when they are giving the fine to a different reg car then b4 u leave swap the plates over to your own again

Erm, 'cos your tax disc has the correct registration for your car on it...

Parked in a quiet train station car park at 11.45pm a couple of years ago, assumed it was free at that time. Came back to find a denver boot on the car, big "DO NOT DRIVE" label on the window etc.

Checked the sign, parking was only free after midnight, car had been clamped at 11.55pm!!

Thought about trying the old "ticket must have slipped onto the floor" routine, they had only gone round the car with a video camera to prove there was no ticket on the window or the floor!!
