Unhappy

Most of my little boys 'friends'have let him down for his birthday party, so as a consolation, I want to take him and a couple of his proper mates somewhere nice. Any ideas?

PMSL when we took our lad ice skating with a few of his mates. He was 9 at the time.

Failing that what about Ten Pin Bowling. I've seen loads of young kiddies trying their arm on the learner lanes (have barriers at the side to stop the ball going into the gutter

Get back in Muppets Askew!

He's going to be 6 and he 'hates' doing everything at the moment lol. Thought about The Galleries of Justice with it's dungeons in the caves and stuff but maybe i'm being a bit optimistic with that one as it's educational as well lol.

Thought about Ice skating too but he will get all mardy if he falls over and I laugh at him!!

Maybe bowling is the way to go.

How old is the lad? Going karting is always a laugh -- we took our lad when he was 8. TBH we drew the line at taking any of his mates -- "motorsport is dangerous" and I wouldn't want to take that responsibility for someone else's kids.

We're never having a party again either. Had a proper party in a local hall with a load of his mates once. Got some kids meals in a box from somewhere local. One of the kids thought the long plastic stringy toy was a sweet and ate it. He actually turned blue before someone who was helping us out performed the Heimlich manouevre on him

What a nightmare that could have turned into

Yeah Red-Dog, take him to the boozer and get a nice tattoo on the way home - mickey-mouse maybe? He will be just like his role-models then!!

Well sorted, matey, kool, or whatever goes in this day and age

Take him to the park, kick a ball about, put him in the rowing boats on the lake, challenge him to climb the highest tree .... its the simplest things they remember!!

Where are you and how old is he? Toboganing at Tamworth or Milton Keynes snowdome is a great crack, but make sure you book first!

He's going to be 6 and we are Notts/Derby border. I think he's decided on bowling. Him and 3 friends. That shouldn't be too traumatic!! I definately will not be organising a party for him again!!!

My son loves Quad Biking as his birthday treat. Expensive, but OK if there is only him and a few mates.

Did the McD's and cinema once with 9 of the little blighters, never again. Ran me and the misses ragged! Keep to a select few that can be easily managed/threatened and it should OK.
