Finding Out Value of Numberplate?

Is there a service whereby I can find out the value of a numberplate that I have in my possesion, or in this case am about to purchase?
The numberplate in question is similair to "LLN 1" - I don't want to give the exact numberplate details for the obvious reasons...
Any ideas?

Think of a number and double it (if buying) or halve it (selling)
Seriously, many of the dealers are on enormous mark-ups so it might be worth buying the Sunday Times / Telegraph and buying privately if you can wait.
Example for my plate - Dealer value £2380. My value £1000/£750
