I think they did a good job. It can't be easy acting in front of 8 million viewers, live on national TV. My hat goes off to them, especially the production team who did a cracking job of co-ordinating the events.

Question

OK - You have a job on the Bill - Someone is supposed to die 'live.' The producer tells you at 6.30 that it will be you. What do you do

1. Play dead as instructed and lose your livelyhood

2. Just as you are about to get knifed, kick the **** out of the drunk and keep your job (for a short while anyway )

....and what about when Tony Stamp missed his lines twice in one scene and had to be prompted by DC Webb. And also when inspector Gold forgot her line and walked of saying ball 'ocks.

bring back z cars!!!

To be honest commendable effort i thought. To get lines right first time must be pretty tough. At least in the theatre they are doing it night in night out.

Must be the most dangerous police station in the country though!!!

and I'd hardly call Becker a regular - she was a new character and the only thing she seemed to be a part of was the lesbian affair with Debbie or have I missed more than I thought?

Good on them for doing a Live version, can't be easy. I remember seeing both the live ER episodes (they did two, one for Eastern and one for Pacific timezones) and yes there were the odd missed lines and stuff, but very well done indeed. Same as the remake of Failsafe, as that was televised live.

Would have loved to have seen this. I do admit the bill has gone downhill in the past 6 years or so, I remember when it was on at 9pm for an hour, Dad wouldn;t let me watch it

I'd quite like to see Casualty live, that might be good.
