One of the boys from the RSV bbs has asked me to post this. He's had a lot of equipment stolen along with a mobile which has not been switched off ...

Not wanting to be a "KillJoy" but...

We only have "Leakyman's" word that this phone has in fact been stolen.

There is a CHANCE that this is a legitimate number for a mate/enemy & he has posted it in this manner so that it gets abused.

Therefore I would urge caution on anyone that decides to try & ring it.

And before you say "Withheld Number", for people who are getting hoax/bogus/abusive calls, the operators have the ability to turn that facility OFF so that a complete list of the numbers that are ringing are available to the police.

Anyway, if it were me, I'd just get the number trashed so that it became u/s.

I agree with what you say. The person who was robbed is not lying. If I thought he was I would not have posted.

A word to the wise for those of us with mobiles. If your phone is stolen, get the sim blocked but also let your operator know the Equipment identity of the phone so the person who acquires it cannot get it mapped to any other network. The smarter phone thieves throw the sim away and pass the hardware on.
