Anyone else remember them selling this? I hated the stuff personally. Tasted like something you'd get at the Doctors. Pretty sure that's why they stopped selling it......

I remember many years ago when a disgruntled employee took a dump in the root beer machine in the store in Northfield, Birmingham. Nobody noticed (I made that last bit up

Luv the stuff. Buy it in 6 packs from ASDA, tin looks like some cheap cola, with a bit of stars and stripes on it, forget the brand name, but I'll re-post if I can find a can lying about

Its wonderful, I lament its passing, when I got married in 94' we went to 'Jackson Hole' in Wyoming and stayed in a plance called the 'Parkway Inn", there was a vending machine just up the corridors from our room and it had root beer !
I had three in two days and was a bit 'squitty'. turned out all therr cans were seven years out of date !
So even the yanks dont drink it anymore !

It smells and tastes like "ralgex" the muscle relaxant. Not that I've drunk that of course.
As mentioned above, Root Beer is a favourite drink of our American friends.

You can find it in some of the bigger Chinese supermarkets (I know Woo Hing in Croydon stock it). It's in a maroon coloured can, with the word 'Sarsi' on it.

yuck, root beer was revolting...
