Applying for a job as above, and wondering what the comission is based on?

Anyone in the business maybe give me a bit of an idea!

The company I work for take around 20% of the basic.
So if this is a job with a 50k basic we may get up to 10k commission.
The consultant gets around 15% of that so about 1.5k per placement.
Guess it depends on the inudstry you will be working in (this is in Sales)

Assuming you meet your minimum thresholds (and if you are any good) it all averages out that you earn an OTE of about 33% of what you bill.
So very roughly if you bill £150K and you are on a £25K basic, you will earn £25K in bonuses to give you an OTE of about £50K.
- Obviously this varies as some companies are rather more generous than others, but I have been in Sales & Marketing, Finance and now Marketing recruitment and this the basic formula. Obviously as you get more Senior - the basics and car allowances take your earnings up substantially!!!

Mark, when you say the amount I bill, I presume you mean that as the commission I make for the company.

Are there any sites you know of that explain things in detail, or maybe a bit of an insight into what goes on?
