A lot of the hip hop/ r&b fraternity have convictions for stuff...

The kids that listen to this when they are young and think it is cool, eventually go on to get jobs in society - police, barristers, magistrates etc - and they still have it on the back of their minds that all black people are criminals even though they have long since forgotten about the music

I think if any child is that intelligent, they will realise that there is no link.
Me, I love rock music and have done since I was in my early teens. The lifestyle portrayed in lyrics by bands such as Motley Crue, Faster Pussycat and the like can be seen as promoting the seedier side of life yet my husband and I (and several members of this board) are smart enough to tell the difference between song lyrics and real life!
