How to get a car moved...?
#1
My girlfriend lives in a terraced housing block, parking is limited at best with only n street parking available. Her next door neighbour has a habit of buying cars very cheap running them til they break then leaving them on the side outside their house until the MOT expires. At the moment there has been an old Sierra Sapphire outside my girlfriends house for a few months - it hasn't moved so we presume the car has died. We have tried speaking to the neighbours to see if they could get rid of it or move it but their attitude is sod off! Has anyone got any ideas as to how we could get the rust bucket moved or dumped????
Thanks

Unfortunately not, its all on street and as such there are no allocations except for a disable space halfway down the street.
Could you contact the police for it pssibly not being fit for road use...? It does look unroadworthy...

If it's taxed the Council can't touch it, set it on fire then they'll tow it away (once the fire brigade have finished), if bloke then confronts you about it, tell him his house is next unless he bucks his ideas up !!

Audiman has said pretty much word for word what I was thinking!
The alternative is to pick it up with some heavy machinery and deposit it on your neighbours doorstep.

They may have to move it if it's obstructing the road. So if someone moved it into the road a bit (not so that it's actually causing a danger), then let the police know, maybe you'd get some joy.
