2 years ago we had a bill for some web space from a company we have never heard of

our family are not the most computer friendly and scoobynet is as high tech as we get so we definitly did not buy web space.

anyway we had a bill for £80 i wrote back saying it must be a mistake.
nothing for 2 years then a letter from one on those debt collecting places asking for £65 and another 2 days later threatening legal action,if its a mistake could i end up with a ccj against me.
If its a scam who would i report it to?
i tried to call the debt collecters who said they were acting for a third party and could only give a few details,
the web company can only be contacted through email or post and have never replied

What would you do?

Send a letter RECORDED DELIVERY and find out what it all about

Make SURE you keep a copy

Phone the agency again and tell them what you are doing

Record all, let them take you to court and then produce all.

If you put you on a banned list, take to court and claim.

Report them to the police for demanding money with menace. Tell them you are doing it. It is probably a scam
