Asthma/Allergies

Winter colds get me, Spring the tree pollen gets me, Summer the grass pollen gets me and in Autumn the mould spores. There's no fecking winning here. LOL
Over here in Aussie the back burning has started in preparation for bush fires around Sydney. The skyline is often hazy and looks very polluted, there is a faint smell of woodfire and my asthma is enjoying every minute of it.
I use Ventolin normally and have just been given the Bricanyl (Terbutaline) Turbuhaler thingy and it is providing me better relief - but after a couple of puffs of that thing it sends me soaring LOL!!!

Does anybody else get wheezy this time of the year ?
For me it starts about the third week in August and goes on for a couple of months and then I am fine, basically I get really chesty at night, the wife does as well. We have a Terbutaline inhaler thing that helps but sends me a bit jittery.
Anyone else get this, what could be causing it ?

Me too!! mine start's 3rd week in july, last til end of
september, then i'm ok for rest of the year. I'd second the
'mold spores' reason. I'm on Ventolin with a preventer Becotide.
thought it was only me!!!

Dust actually sets my athsma off... so damp weather actually helps mine as the dust is removed from the air.
I had a bad breathing session Friday while at work as I has clearing out an old office to be reused.....no inhaler either!

Gives me the shakes a lot more than the Ventolin though.
When I am refereeing I have to be careful as to how much I take beforehand due to the "soaring" side effect. It also isn't good to be standing in the middle of the pitch doing your pre-match chat to the two teams whilst shaking like you are going through a cold turkey withdrawal. LOL!!!

I used to have problems at work because of sinus troubles which always came on in May. It was a real nuisance but I discovered it was caused by the Rape seed plants being in flower. I have heard that quite a few people are affected by Rape seed pollen. Just had to put up with it for a while.

Odd, maybe related to a bit of a cold but the last couple of days both me and my eldest (both asthmatic) have been really rattly \ needing the inhaler far more often than usual.

I didn't know that LOL!!!
I find you really have to suck on it hard to get the powder into your lungs <awaits comments > does anyone else find that?
It also looks pretty suspicious when you pull the thing out of your handbag or jacket to use.
