Does anyone work for 02 - real complaint
#1
Hi peeps,
Some of you may remember some time ago that I was asking about new phone deals etc. In the end I went with o2 online and it has been a 'kin farce ever since.
Problem 1: The phones
They accidently sent me 2 phones ! The one I was supposed to have didn't work out the box (the joystick wouldnt work) so I used the other one. I went out my way to go to a proper o2 shop to try and resolve the problem - didnt want to know as it was a different sub company of o2 - very annoyed now.
Find out that they have billed me for two numbers, although I only actually ordered one. Get on to customer support and 10 mins (at 50p/min customer support cause email support is so damn poor) later they say that the second number doesnt exist and send the other, faulty one back, so I do.
I then tried to port my number from orange, first time they tell me the PAC code is invalid and can I resubmit, so I do, twice. Ten days later, still not even contacted me and my orange phone still works.
By this time I was gettin mighty pissed off, so I go and grab the o2 records from company house, to be able to get a number to complain about. After being fobbed off for 20 mins, I finally get someone to listen (at national rate rather than 50p/min) That was like a week and a bit ago and I still haven't heard from them, I have no ported phone number and now this phone I have, the original working one has gone faulty.
Does anyone work for o2 who can help because the whole so**ing lot is coming back tommorow if it isnt sorted.
Can anyone help ?

Singlepoint (Vodafone) - crap (see £600 mobile bill thread)
BT Cellent (now 02) - crap (kept trying to withdraw money from my account 18 months after I had cancelled my account)
One2One (now T Mobile) - the worst (they took too much £ out of my account, informed me that they had done so, forgot to refund it and then threatened to blacklist me even though they still owed me money)
Orange - pretty good

I jointed 02 Contract a few months ago and all Ive had is problems.
I wouldnt suggest anyone else go with them!
They changed my tariff to a better one and then forgot to tell me that I would only get 1/2 of that months call times free! So I ended up paying more to be on a better tariff!
Before that I had asked for my number to be ported from 02 Pay as you Go to my new contract and that took 3 months and lots of calls to the premium number! I seem to get at least one f**k up each month!
Anyone know of a number to call that doesnt cost 50p per min as the E-Mail queries never get answered online?????

I changed to o2 from Orange because Orange's customer service went from excellent to absolute sh1te.
I had a 2 week period where I had no signal due to their technical difficulties and was more or less told to **** off when I suggested they shouldn't charge me line rental for that time.
I threatened to cancel and they were falling over themselves to keep my £200+ per month. Cancelled, anyway.
Had no probs with o2 and my bills are around half of what they were with Orange.
Saying that Cellnet did take me to court in 1999 over money they owed me. Luckily for them they withdrew at the last second and gave me all the money they owed me plus £100 and a grovelling letter of apology.
They're all sh1te at some point because of the huge customer bases they have.

I think my lesson is well and truly learnt. The **** taking gits have now emailed me to tell me that the port is going ahead. I told em to stuff it all in the end !

i think customer service should always be free, and with O2 charging 50p a minute stinks...thats 30 pounds an hour.
with Orange its always a free call and if you dial 151 you get thorugh much quicker, and don`t have to select press 1 for this..etc etc.
But dont let them get technical support involved in your problem...as i dont think they exsist!!
