A couple of years ago, I did an NVQ Level3 in Occupational Health and Safety. Loved getting the qualification and loved doing the 'shadowing role'with the Health and Saftety people within my company. Unfortunately, there were no vacancies within the company for me to apply for and all external companies wanted someone with at least 3 years experience so I was basically screwed! Anyway, there are going to be a sh*t load of redundancies where I work (looks like the whole of my department are going) and I thought that this would be a good time to try again.
Any tips on how to get a job as a H&S assistant or how to get some experience would be greatly appreciated!

Ok, work as a civil servant but used to work for a Training and Enterprise Council and used to go externally to all the training providers (retail outlets, building sites, offices etc to do health and safety checks. Need to work Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire due to childcare commitments.
