Do you really go out of your way to be PC. Have you changed your way of thinking so as not to upset others.
I'm getting really fed up of reading about things tat have to change just to suit the PC brigade. Its pathetic.
Like the airbrushing out of the *** in Paul Mccartneys hand on the abbey rd album.
My Mrs being a childminder HAS to have a black doll. Why not chinese or Dutch. No it has to be black.
A manhole now becomes an inspection cover.
What happened to barman
Teachers not being able to mark books in red pen as it creates a ngative approach.WTF is that about.
We mustnt have winners in schools sports as that means there will be losers and therefore is unfair.
Havind Winterval in Birmingham instead of Xmas so as not to upset the muslims. OK to celebrate Divali though.
The banning of English,Welsh national flags on public buildings. Why?
Golliwogs. I collected these as a kid. Does this mean I'm a rascist.Maybe my wife should get one.
And best of all maybe, in Australia it has become illegal discrimination to stop blind people becoming airline pilots.
These are just a few of the silly things that are now happening.
Whats worse is a lot of these are brought in by a government that is morally bankrupt.
Chip.

Only in Australia eh???
Over here, they cannot any info on your ethnicity (I hope that is spelt right ) or whether you have a disability on job application forms.
Hence they make up for the lunacy laws like the one in your post, with the application stuff....

Chip I'm saying my PC is the one I intend to keep.
The crap that is now serves no useful purpose whatsoever in my opinion.
People will be afraid to speak soon or maybe they are now if the amount of text messaging that goes on is an indication.

Yea, the PC 'Thought Police' are the new fascists. They are crippling our society with their intolerant nonsense.

"Am I PC"? No - not by a long shot. It's a weakness of this country; the lack of will to kick up a fuss and instead to follow blindly (baaa!). The day I give in and go 'PC' will be the day I die.

I know you wont believe this, I didn't when I saw it.
In a little bakery I saw a plate of Gingerbread men, except they weren't called that.
You couldn't make this up but they were called "Gingerbread Persons"
Mad or what ?

One of my collegues told me the best PC comment he'd ever heard last week. Basically he was in a boardroom having a business meeting and one of the secretarys came in and asked if they wanted coffee? so my friend says yes I'll have a black coffee.
I'm sorry says the girl but you can either have it with or without milk, we are not allowed to call it black coffee because it is offensive!!! WTF ! He was truly gobsmacked !
So remember if your ordering a new car in black you'll have to order it in the opposite of white! (D'oh I bet you can't say that either because it's offensive to white people!)

since my best mate started going out with a coloured girl, i had to learn how to be more politically correct as i say things without thinking that could sometimes be thought of as hurtful but im not racist just say things without thinking

When in America be sure to say "African American" otherwise you may legitimately be shot. I imagine if in Africa you should use the term "African African". Never, ever, say "black". It's okay to say "white" though.

erm.. Technically, neither are colours, given that they have no 'colour' value as such. (0,0,0 or 255,255,255)
Give me a nice Misty Buff on the other hand... Now *thats* a proper colour

OK, smart-@rse I was going to avoid using proper definitions. Technically neither are real colours since they don't have wavelengths. 'White' is a blend of all optical wavelengths visible to the human eye. 'Black' is the absence of light.
Which brings me to another point. We can't make things that are coloured 'black' since black dye doesn't exist. Instead we colour them a very dark shade of some other colour. For example, black jeans are likely to be very dark blue. Actually none of us are 'white' or 'black'. We're all just shades of pink/yellow/brown.
If you stood a 'white' person next to a source of white light (daylight?) and a black person next to a sample of 'absolute black' (i.e. albedo = 0) then you'd have to say that the two people look more alike in colour than they do to their respective 'light sources'.
My point? Black coffee is still black coffee. Er, except it's brown.
Nuff rambling

Luke being stupid as usual. No-one has used that word on here so stop trying to undermine the point.
Black people seem to get deeply offended at issues that are of no concern to the rest of us. Those from the Caribbean objected to being called "black", and so were termed "West Indian". But now that has annoyed them and they must now be called "Afro-Caribbean".

Am not PC, no. Not fussed about not using words that may be deemed offensive by the person to whom they are addressed (not just random people within hearing distance), but to call someone "vertically challenged" instead of "short" is just stupid.
Case in point - at school I was "best friends" with a girl who hailed from Guyana. Our nicknames for each other were (her to me) Vanilla and (me to her) Coco. Neither of us were offended as we both knew that it was in jest and nothing was meant by it.
Same as I still don't object to being called "love", "duck" or "dear" by random folk, unless it's meant in a patronising way.
Oh and for PC job titles...? Vision technician - Window Cleaner...

How about using the word SCHWARZ instead of black?
If it is only black that your not allowed to use thaen why not use the word from another language ie schwarz, German for Black.
also what colour is the 7 ball on a snooker table??????
and what colour is the cue ball on a snooker table?????
