A woman due to have her foot amputated was told she would be given a white prosthetic replacement because it was cheaper.
If she wanted a black one she was told she would have to pay for it herself. Incredible really. Surely a colour difference wouldnt affect the price that much.

I think it's crazy that the poor lady would have had to pay to get a black foot, but... I wish the media wouldn't jump on it and start on about racism in the NHS etc. - that just doesn't help anyone. It was obviously a **** up but why do they make such a big deal out of it?
