Is what the Soham officer would have been called had he been found guilty. Of course he's innocent but admits to posing as a young girl(???) in chatrooms.

What i want to know, is why his wife Jane seemed to be playing up to the cameras with her big smile, slinky dress and so on? Did she think it was an audition for a modelling assignment, or the opportunity to look appealing for a tabloid to whom she could flog their story or something? Maybe it's just me and there was nothing in it.

"The detective will face tough questions about why his name and credit card details were given to a US child **** website. He claims his card was cloned though he reported no misuse at the time."
Definitely a Paedophile IMO.

Actually I don't like the word "Paedophile"- it makes them sound like a connoisseur rahter than the sick ***** that they are- like "audiophile" or "francophile" etc. A better term is NONCE or to use non-emotive language paederast.
Whatever we call them one thing is for sure the smug grin on that policemans face- his name is Brian Stevens BTW makes me want to stove it in.

I was totally disgusted to watch that on the news last night.
He had a laptop...."but anyone could have used it to look at the pics"!!!
the bt records had..." dissapeared"!!!!
I have a Pc at home which sometimes my mates go on So id be off the hook , **llocks!!!
Whats this place coming too,it now seems that if your in the Police force you can do what the hell you want.Have sex with little kids, look at peado pics, get off with speeding, assault people, rape people etc etc.
The look on the smug B***ards face, his time will come one day and when it does i hope he gets his ***** cut off.!!!
The sooner i leave this country the better

At the end of the day, the police always look after their own, in any which way they can...
Lets be serious here, how long would a bent kiddy fiddling cop last inside a jail before he was trussed up, raped and had the crap beaten out of him?
The police are policing themselves, see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil...especially when the person concerns carries a warrant card and handcuffs

you guys need to get a reality check.. coppers might look after each other when it comes to minor offences but kiddy fiddling.. lots of coppers have kids too... would you let it go if it were you? get your heads out of your ars3s...
I reckon they know he did something but unfortunately there probably wasn't enough proof...

The CPS dropped the case.
For what its worth, I disagree with the decision as much as everyone else here, but it just shows you the gaping holes in the UK legal system.... we lose cases day in day out due to suspects diving through these loopholes.

Technically innocent at best - more of a "not proven" like they have in Scotland ie "we know he did it but we can't nail him for it". How he's got the gall to come out in front of the public parading his wife and grinning all over his fat face is incredible. Someone somewhere is going to sort him out.

I am not sure about the Police looking after their own on this, this is a disgusting, vile offence, no-one can condone it in any way. I do not see it myself.
It seems this case was badly handled which i can understand (but not forgive).
Loks like the Police and CPS need to buck their ideas up to me and concentrate on busting this sort of scum and making it stick!!!
No-one likes a nonce, no-one wants a nonce except another nonce IMHO and i do not believe all Police are.
If they did cover this up then God help us 'cause no-one else can!

Believe me ... its no cover up.... just a technicality enabling him to wriggle through a hole in the UK legal system.
I know a little more about this case than most, and I'm as gobsmacked as the next person.... and I now know how he managed to squirm free.
I can't comment, for obvious reasons.... but I don't think he'll last long as a police officer.

Good!
I hope he does not have any nasty accidents either

I think most policeman would see a nonce for what he is and not only shop him but possibly worse if they knew they could get away with it.
Let's hope so.

You have a very good idea of the real truth with regards to this story....
But what about all the others on the list??? Just how well will the POlice and the CPS deal with them????

I know of at least 5 EX-police officers who are no longer in the job.....
one of whom was the second detective in the Soham tragedy. "Anthony Goodridge was jailed for six months after pleading guilty to possessing more than 300 indecent images of girls as young as four. The officer, who is married with sons aged six and 14 months, was sacked in March."
