Does this make me racist
As above, I live in Leicester and there is no way u can be racist in this town... white's are out numbered!
As far as the original joke goes (I'm asian by the way), I didn't get it and even if I did, I probably would have laughed! Cos it's just a freaking joke! Out of all the jokes in the world, most of them concern white people, if I say one these does that make me a racist??
Oh and to the person who said "paki's" are better off here than in their home country, its cos we work our ***** of mate! You're mistaking people who came here 25-35 years ago (like my parents) and built something from nothing, and asylum seekers who come here cos of the free handouts from the government.
Mustafa
Said this one before, but here goes:
Two Afghan women are walking through a market place and one goes to other "Does my bomb look big in this?"
*BOOM BOOM* (pardan the pun) hehehe.

Watched a Bernard Manning video last night and this made me laugh
was chatting with my neighbour yesterday and he said
"you are a better man than me"
Bernards said "Why"
He said "'cause I haven't got a paki living next door to me"
I thought this was funny but does this make me racist?

An English man and an Irish man are driving head on , at night, on a twisty, dark road. Both are driving too fast for the conditions and collide on a sharp bend in the road. To the amazement of both, they are unscathed, though their cars are both destroyed. In celebration of their luck, both agree to put aside their dislike for the other from that moment on. At this point, the Englishman goes to the boot and fetches a 12 year old bottle of whisky. He hands the bottle to the Irish man, whom exclaims,'' may the Irish and the English live together forever, in peace, and harmony.'' The Irish man then tips the bottle and gulps half of the bottle down. Still flabbergasted over the whole thing, he goes to hand the bottle to the Englishman, whom replies: '' no thanks, I'll just wait till the Police get here!''
As i am half-"paki" myself, i can safely say you are indeed a racist. Why? Because the joke wasn't funny, you were laughing at the derogatory slang word, in the same way that a child would laugh at the word "poo-poo". Trying to justify this thread because you hate PCness is just so much bollocks i'm afraid.
With you all the way CC..... Bloody funny Gag..
If all these Poncy Politically correct do gooders were to lighten up a bit we'd all have a laugh at this kind of thing...
Lighten up everyone.... See these things for what they are... Jokes....
for a bit of variety:
Jim was speeding along the road one fine day when the local policeman, a friend of his, pulled him over. "What's wrong, Eric?" Jim asked. "Well didn't you know, Jim, that your wife fell out of the car about five miles back?" said Eric. "Ah, praise God!" he replied with relief. "I thought I'd f***ing gone deaf!"

If you said "Cos I dont have a BRIT living next to me' (boom boom haha etc) Its still wouldnt be funny.
I'm with TheCarpetCleaner on this one - we've gone PC mad and everyone is far too sensitive.
Since when did the Robersons's jam golly-wogs cause any offence to anyone with a grain of intelligence. Christ, we'll be banning the Michelin man next 'cus it offends fat b'stards, like me.
I could rant on and on on this one......

gussie...i dont get it either.
at least we can be slow and stoopid together
on the subject tho....i agree totally that PC in this country has gotten WAY out of hand to the point where you cant say anything now without being accused of racism. i think everyone should be able to laugh at themselves.
BUT....
i still dont find derogative and racist terms/jokes/comments funny.
I think we should respect peoples beliefs/culture, especially if they are actually offended by something said.
that said...i dont think half the things classed as racist/non-pc are actually taken by said people to be racist or offensive.
its just got to the point where if anyone mentions a non-pc word now, everyone jumps on the racist bandwagon without acknowledging offence.
note: this is only my opinion..and im sure people will disagree. im not trying to cause an argument here

that's why the joke is funny, cos it is the "minority" person making the racist comment, not the white person. Like you say, everyone should be able to laugh at themselves. Some people were offended by denis leary's "no cure for cancer" routine. I thought it was feckin hilarious.
I am feeling much better now. There's no way in a month of Sundays I'd ever consider myself racist. A number of my colleagues are Asian and if push came to shove I'd back them to the hilt
I though the joke was funny, intersting in the audience there were 'pakis' and they found it funny, go figure?

it all depends on the person.
There are people of all races who are fed up with all this PC-crap and can see when something is meant for laughs and not meant for offence.
There are other people of all races who take any comment, unless its kissing ***, to be offensive.
