I hope I win the 'Most Thrilling Scoobynet Topic Of The Day' prize!
Anyone recommend a combination model for £150? Dunno what I'll use it for - will be my first ever microwave!
Thinking of a Sanyo EMFL90N (£155 inc delivery from Empire Direct) as it looks nice in the pic and did alright in 'Which?' magazine's tests. Agree with that reasoning?
Cheers,
Ben

I was with the 'you'll never see a microwave in my kitchen' attitude until a few months ago. I bought a panasonic combo grill/convection/micro. don't use it that much but it's handy for:
defrosting tubs of stock from the freezer
baking a cake whilst there's a roast in the gas oven
heating up sainsbury's chicken madras when i can't be bothered to cook on a friday evening
You can get not a bad baked potato if you put the convection heat up high and add a bit of micro power too. Only takes about 12 minutes.
Once I get my enormous mercury cooker, and give up work as well, I'll cook everything the proper way - if that's ok with everybody?
