Can Someone Explain Terminator 3 Ending ?

Discussing how they portray women? What did they draw their conclusion to?
How many single feminists were commenting if any? (They irritate me even more than sexist males ).

Oh well, suppose it don't matter now. Her dying father tells them to go there to disable Skynet. But when they get there they find only a disused nuclear bunker. He tricked them to save their lives from the ensuing holocaust.

i found T2 went the same direction as Lethal Weapon/Mad Max etc.....they make an 18 rated hard core flick.....it gets popular so they dumb it down, drop it to a pg/15 add some stupid fx and churn out crap for the MTV generation.

Anyone who doesn't want to read this, close your eyes now. Thank you
It' perfectly simple...
Skynet is NOT in "one place", its in every piece of computer hardware it has come into contact with. Skynet therefore CANNOT be "destroyed" as such because its a PROGRAMME, and not a single computer. As he says in the film "It's SOFTWARE"...
So ARNIE sends them to the one place he knows will be safe from the nuclear holocaust that he knows has become absolutely unavoidable, i.e. the President of the United States own nuclear shelter.
Simple as that.
EDITED as of course it was Arnie who directed them there, as was rightly pointed out

the father does tell them where to go but arnie gives them the directions just as he the father is dying, this is why arnie agrees to go to the base to see her father as he knows they need the codes to get into the bunker. so its the terminator who has decided that this is the best place for them to go which is different from the place her father was going to send them

Arnies job was to save their lives and he did that by taking them to the only place they would be safe - the bunker.
Judgement day was unavoidable so that was the only option.
BTW better update your virus protection - never know what might happen )

yes it's good & well worth watchin IMO but i'm a total terminator fan. It aint as good as T2 & as i said does lack a little story & the telling of it in a James Cameron way but still a good film just in a godfather stylee while the 2nd was better than 1st no way third could improve

If it was a film by itself, it would be pretty good, when compared to some of the movies aired in recent years. Unfortunately it's part of a bigger picture, and when compared to the first 2 movies, it falls short of the mark.
Why they've made it a 12A cert is beyond me. A Terminator kills things... should not be watched by kids. And this installment suffers from this rating.
There is more action in an hour of the second film than in the whole of this one, and the relentless terror of the first film is totally absent in this one.
Special effects don't seem to have progressed at all since T2 either. There are no moments that demand a rewind, let's watch that again, like in T2 with the chequered floor scene.
You're left feeling like the film was rushed to move us on, as an audience, to the last movie, the actual war on the machines. Just doesn't have the same impact as the other films. The only memorable part I can recall involves the new Terminator growing a bigger bust to distract a traffic cop.
The first film is still awesome now, when aired on TV. The second, though not as dark, is so full of action and effects, with great music etc. that it too demands your attention. I just can't see this one ever reaching these standards, or standing the test of time.

Well just got back from seeing it and thought it was good. Obviously not as good as the first two but leads nicely into T4 for the battle with Skynet.
Now that was a much better Terminator than in the previous 2
Now waiting to see the film I have wanted for ages, Bad Boys 2

watched it last night and would agree with some of the comments here.
It doesnt break any new ground either in fx or story lines, but is an enjoyable stepping stone into T4.
Not a patch on the horror of T1 or the action of T2 though.
Shame they served it with a 12A rating

oohhhhhhhhhhhhh STOP!!!
i loved it. it wasn't better or worse than T2 - just a continuation. i was so hoping it wouldn't dissappoint me and boy it didn't, loved it - very entertaining and a bit more depth in the story than before.
the ending was a bit, ehhhhh? as i expected them to destroy skynet then it just ends but hum ho, loved it!
some people cut down and analyse these things too much, i just sat there and enjoyed it

the rating was big sh!tter c/o trying to open up the brand to a larger market & did detract from some of the scenes IMO as a lot of the times when people were getting butchered it was left to yer imagination rather than showing the people getting popped Hey im into S&M lol. & it is true that there wasnt much in the way of new effects but then i cant think of anything additional they could of added it has fab car chases big bangs & a healthy portion of shooters. I luv it & as they said on newsnight inbetween discussing how it portreyed women pmsl it wasn't a perfect seaquel but it could of been so much worse. Still a proper boo film i will go & watch it again but as already said i am a total terminator nerd I would of liked a bit more of insite into hoe they had continued to develope the chips etc as they did still leave many options in T2 from people who worked at cybernet etc........... but i guess that wasnt necessary in a it's in your nature to destroy yourselves way lol
I mean if i'm being picky then they never explained how the 1000 series time traveled as in the 1st Kyle says they need fleshy bits to be able to do it which by my reckoning means fluid man/wpman cant do it & if they had any sense they shuda stuck a laser up blokeys bum so he had a decent weapon i really shud lead the free world! pmsl.
Si (this week i will be mostly quoting T2 word for wordlol)
