Right.

Looking to buy a new mountain bike in the near future, something half decent (around the £1000 mark I reckon) with front suspension, not bothered about full sus.

Used to up until I was about 17 be big into it, had a GT LTS 1 back then if anyone remembers them - dont need anything as flash this time as its going to be more of a hobby, might even do the odd race when I get fit etc.

Where is the best place to look online for one of these beasties? - I quite fancy a lightly used one, or maybe a last seasons model but still new at a discount.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Chris

Pauls Cycles in Norwich specialise in last years models at stupid prices. My bike was delivered next day all setup, I didnt have to change a thing apart from straighten the handle bars out of the box.

Last year I got a 2001 schwin moab 1 for £500, Rock SHox Judy, Deore XT avid disc brakes ect ect lite as hell, good review in MBUK. all for £500 couldnt find anything near that spec without spending very silly money.

The SL is even better with hydrilic brakes deore XTR ect, and the homegrown is in another league all together.

If you havent heard of Scwinn they are American and owned by GT, they only make pretty exspensive bikes. and my Moab is a much better ride than the Orange I had when I was younger.

have fun
