How much would you pay a plumber?

I'm having underfloor heating fitted in a new build and have had a quote from a plumber for installation at £200 per day (eight hours @£25 I guess). D'you reckon this is reasonable? BTW I'm not in the south east where I gather plumber earn megabucks.

That pretty cheap for a plumber, but I do live in South England where every plumber is a multi millionaire
I wouldn't get an hour rate though, get a price for the whole job.
He may only be £25 per hour but if he takes 50hrs more than someone else well...do the maths

Sorry if this is obvious but if it's 'a cash job', make sure you don't get charged VAT.
The muppet who fitted a bathroom for me as a 'homer' a few years back had the gaul to hand write down the price on a scrap of paper and then proceed to add VAT onto the total!
However, if your plumber is VAT registered and this job is going through his books, then they must invoice you plus VAT.
