so far this week I have bought the following:

Makita mitre/pull saw & tranny - didn't really need it but it was a good buy - £325

Drill - again, didn't really need it but it was a good buy - £43

2 pairs of Merrell shoes - that I could do with I suppose - £38

I seem to be developing a "if its cheap I'll buy it" obsession - I could never resist a bargain - way I look at it is that you can always flog it on again if you get it for the right money, the troble is you end up buying stuff you normally wouldn't. I'll have to wind it in a bit I think.

Anyone else bargain mad ?

they are cheap, then you add the postage, and it all adds up...

It sure is. You keep thinking it would be rude to pass up on such bargains. I started buying games for my gamecube and when you end up paying a tenner for something new & sealed that costs £32 new at places like cd-wow and play.com which are already a tenner cheaper than the high street it gives you a lot of satisfaction.

Admittedly Im not as bad as you. Most expensive thing I bought was an air-rifle at £345 which I picked up in person. Saying that I only looked on eBay cos someone on an airgun forum told me he'd seen it.

Its great for selling crap that you have lying around and probably would have binned.

Simon.

Another E-Bay vinyl junkie here too.

Having a bit of a detox from it at the moment.

MJ -- was the tranny pre- or post-operative? Not a bad price, with the saw thrown in free

Love eBay -- but it's easy to get auction blindness and pay over the odds.

However, I've benefited from the same when selling, so hey ho

mj, ubergeek and XP are mutually exclusive It's mostly nostalgia value, although it's all in nice condition, and I have a few rarities too.

Other than following a link from somewhere like here, I can't recall ever looking on Ebay.

I guess I'll have to go and have a look now then!

I mostly go for the Sinclair kit, Ultimate games and books. Not really bothered about +2/+2As, a +3 wouldn't go amiss though.

I find selling is the really addictive bit. I've sold an amp and a CD player on there for well over double what I was expecting. When you load up the page to find another £20's been bid on your item it's very exciting.

I now walk around the house looking at stuff I own wondering if I could get away with selling it.

Cool

we all sit around at work for hours each day looking for cool stuff, get most of my mountain biking stuff off there - got 500 quids worth of wheels & shifters the other month for 110 quid, Result! just waiting for my new exhaust to turn up from the States, all for 24 quid saying that, the postage cost more than the item
