Council Tax and single person allowance
#1
Basically I've got my own flat and my bird stays over like 2/3 times a week, is that dodgy for my single person discount?
I've got a letter from my council asking me to confirm my status, my girlfriend doesn't live here, she lives at home with her mum and her mum pay council tax for her living there.
I'm gonna give the council a call tomorrow to confirm but didn't know if any of you lot knew anything.
Cheers
Dan

No that's cool for your 25% discount.
My ex had a flat and I stayed there approx 12 days per month and she qualified for it.
She doesn't live with you, so no probs.

Well worth the discount, don't make too much of a thing about it to the council they'll prob talk you into paying for her as well.
25% discount iirc?
If it's your name soley on the mortgage/rent agreement, and your sole name on bills etc, just send the single persons allowance off, don't bother discussing it.
