Climbed it on Saturday. Never done it before.
Hard work, but worth it. Took 2.5 hours to get up, and just under 2 to get down (slightly slower 'cos the guy I was walking with turned an ankle ).
Some people were heading up at about 4pm, doing the first of the Three Peaks. Nutters!

Well done,
Hard slog up the path, hope you got a rare clear day (always makes it special). If you intend on a varient, try the Ben Nevis horseshoe from Cairn Mor Dearg, spectacular views of the famous North Cliffs.

Well done Mark. The record up & down is less than 1.5hrs
Nevis was one of the easiest Munros I done yet since it's just a big steady slog up the 'tourist route'. You've got to do it along the CMD arete as the views are stunning. The real problem with Nevis is getting a clear day where you can actually see all it's beauty. How was the weather on your trip? and do you have any pics?
Here's me (arm's crossed) at the summit with a few m8's last September
I'm planning a 3-day trip in a few weeks to do the Ramsey Rounds - 24 munros, including the Mamores to the South and finishing on Nevis via the CMD arete. I'm hoping the weather holds up for the next month or so.

Weather was bright but cloudy, with the cloudbase at about 3900ft (i.e., the last 500ft was in thin cloud). Views were spectacular, except for the summit itself.
Ian, I spent most of the descent wishing I could have been bothered to lug the MTB up with me. Reckon it would have been a storming bit of downhill (well, until just after the section with the lake anyway) and would have cut the descent time to about 25 minutes. Only problem would have been the hoards of tourists getting in the way.
Pics are on the 35mm camera my mate was carrying - when he's sent me the negs and I've scanned them I'll post 'em up. Got plenty of video though.
Oh, and anyone who manages up+down in 1h30 is clearly rock-hard. Most sensible way down I saw was the guy in a paraglider.

Oh, and forgot to mention - there was a patch of snow up there. Standing on it was very surreal, considering I'd been swimming in the Tay at Aberfeldy just the day before!

1:25:34 is the official record set way back in '84. I think that's 1 hour up, 25mins down. Mad as a barrel of fish if you ask me.
I'm running Ben Lomond next Tuesday evening, but I'll be a bit longer than that
The official Ben Nevis race is the 6th September if anyone's interested
