We have just had the first gatso cameras installed in Belfast a couple of days ago. As I was approaching one last night at 39MPH (in a 40) a maxed out Corsa came up in the outside lane at 70+. I stuck my arm out the window and waved him to slow down. As he came past he beeped and waved back, keeping the boot down. I thought 'Here comes 60 quid and 3 points'
As he went past I noticed his back number plate read......
'Just testing'
I could hardly drive for laughing

FB - apparently we are gonna get 80!!! of the ****ing things! though they say that the locations are on the police website, i better check them out. i mainly just drive bangor->belfast A2 which has had one at dee street r/b for months.

I had an interview last week with the company that designs the speed cameras thats being installed in Belfast but still waiting for reply. Dont think Im getting it

Yeah... apparently they 'want to save lives, not catch you speeding' 
....
which is why that one is about 20 yards before the end of the 40 zone, and not two miles up the road were all the fatalaties happen
