Just spent some time sitting on my garden wall watching the Torbay Kick Start Club drive by on their annual rally. About 150-200 old bikes like the ones I used to ride and some glorious old cars like a 1920's Jowett open tourer, pre war Riley, Austin Atlantic, several pre war Austin and Morris saloons, all in oustanding condition. There were Ariels,Matchlesses,Nortons, BSA's,Vincents,AJS's,James,DKW,Triumphs,Sunbeams,t o mention a few, and to top it all, the one I always wanted, a Scott Squirrel which went belting past with that special yowling exhaust note. Lovely sight and they all waved as they went by!

I used to be into old british iron in my yoof. This was one of my favorites:
Cost me a tenner as a basket case. Covered many happy miles on her without problems. I still have an old Triton in the garage. Must dig it out sometime.

We have just had a 'celebration' of motorcycling over here where I live...started last Sunday with round 6 of the British Motocross, and this weekend sees the end of the fun with a weekend camping/get-together by Harley Davison and other Hog owners clubs

Fine old bike UB. I used to have a BSA Blue Star 500 which looked a lot like that, got it for a fiver in Chertsey and pushed it all the way home to Hersham!
Best bitsa was a Matchless Silver Hawk frame with Vincent wheels and forks with twin brakes, and a 600cc Ariel square four engine.
The local cops were always looking for an MG car after I went by!
I always wanted a Triton.

UB -- are you showing us your Big ***** again?
One of the funniest biking stories I've ever seen was from a bloke who always used to leave his Panther on full advance, as an anti-theft device. Apparently, he returned to his bike once to see a bloke in the gutter by the bike with a broken shin from the kickback May not be true, but funny.
This little 27-year-old monster was making some noises at the weekend on the Cat & Fiddle ...
