Want to extend Sky etc into my bedroom and the most sensible option seems a video sender. From what I read you can control Sky, video, DVD etc from one controller. Think you can also get multiple receivers for some of them which means I can stick them in the kids rooms as well.

Anyone any recommendations of makes (Philips seem the main seller) and/or cheap places to buy them?

AEI Digisender from Argos (of all places) .. Works great ( even controls the tivo, which some of them have problems with )

You'll need a scart on the upstairs tv, so it's worth checking as some cheap portables don't.

I've got 3 telly's upstaires all can receive Sky/video picturs from downstairs, its a pain in the **** the more sets u have but basically u need a little white box from argos, called a tv booster, don't buy a video sender cos when u have xxx films on the tv down stairs and want to watch it upstairs (and experiment if ur good enough ha ha ha )if nextdoor or people near tune there telly's in right they can pick it up as well, so u could end up with an orgy on ur street.........which does sound a good idea ha ha ha
