Looking for a bit of help here folks. My missus wants to go to Scotland to spend a couple of nights in a haunted castle. Preferably somewhere cold, loads of mist, a big fire burning in the chimney and plenty of whisky on hand (for me ).
I seem to remember hearing about a place where you could even rent your own ghost to scare the wits out of you during the night. I've tried doing a search on Google but every castle in Scotland claims to have a ghost and so far I haven't been able to find the rent-a-ghost castle.
Does anyone have any good pointers or have any experiences/recommendations to offer? The trip is being planned for autumn next year I've got plenty of time, just thought I'd get a head start.

I know of one in Northumberland called Chillingham Castle. About 30 friends and myself booked the entire castle for 4 days and it was great fun. On the last night a group of "paranormal investigators" arrived and it was featured on Most Haunted.

I'd love this, too - I love that haunted show on the TV with Yvetter Fielding and the scouse medium (Derek, with his sidekick, I mean spirit guide, Sam). I soooo want to see an 'orb' but it's unlikely as I'm normally helplessly laughing at the fekwits getting scared of the dark
Bring it on.....!

I've watched that show too; it's pretty funny watching the girls getting scared sh!teless at the slightest noise. I remember two dizzy byrds screaming when a red light came on all by itself - it was the coffee machine in a kitchen LOL
