Got a quote to fix a scratch some delinquent kindly applied to my VW Passat. The VW dealer quoted £265.90, though ChipsAway can sort it for around £90.
Anyone had any experience of ChipsAway? Any good?

my mate has his MR2 completely done by them, stone chips, supermaket door dings, bumper scratches etc, i think they charged him £90 per panel or something.
saw his car this weekend and have to say it looks like showroom condition.
it is however a solid (red) colour, so cannot say how metallics will fare.

They're good. I mean really good. A friend of mine had his Saxo done and you couldn't see where the chips had been. I've got them coming out to do my Octavia vRS on the 28th.
Can't fault them, although if it rains, they can't do the work.

When some kind neighbour reversed a KA into the front of my old Celica (defies belief I know), my brother kindly arranged them to do the paint job.
I have to say, at first it was a quality job. Couldn't tell the difference. But after a few stone chips, the paint peeled off badly. This of course may be from the fact that the bumper was plastic, I don't know. But about 12 months later it looked worse.
That was about 3 years ago. If the job is on part of the bodywork less likely to suffer from the wear & tear of motorway usage, it'd be much. much cheaper than a proper respray. Cost me about £50 I think

Had my last Scooby Chipsed Awayed. It was metalic, have to say pretty impressed. If you got really close you could spot them, but under most conditions you couldn't.
They also repaired a huge gash in my bumper and it looked great. Seemed not to get rechipped on mine.
