A few years ago I bought a house off a builder, who kept a plot of land which I would now like to buy. He is no longer at his previous address, no forwarding address. I have tried 192.com etc with no luck. Land registry has no new address for him.
It is also possible that he went bankrupt, in which case he no longer owns the land, but according to land registry it is still in his name.
Anybody got any way I can trace him? Has anyone had any experience with detective agencies?
As he is (or was) a builder, is there a register of some kind that might help?
Thanks.
Steve

Companies House (if he's still in business). If he wasn't registered as a company, try those lovely people at H.M. C&E to see if he's still VAT registered.
