My GF (no, really) has managed to get some of her leg wax on our cream coloured carpet Its kind of like the sugaring ones you get.
Any ideas how to get it out as it looks awful ?
Thought about trying to heat it with a hairdryer.

Probably the best way is to do the same as you would with candle wax.
Place newspaper over the area and GENTLY heat with an iron... This melts the wax and the newspaper soaks it up.
Remember to clean the iron afterwards, though!

Which type of wax is it?
The wax you get in plastic strips is a pain in the backside to shift, but the stuff you heat up and use cotton strips with can actually be removed with just plain water......usually it will say on the pack.
Alternatively, ask at a carpet specialist. My parents had a carpet care sheet which had everything from the usual stains to industrial chemical spills and what to do.

Thanks Chelle. Yep, its one in a microwave thingy that you heat up and roll on, then take off with cotton strips. I know, I had a go at ripping them off of her legs Most satisfying
Just water doesn't seem to shift it It said baby oil for getting it off of your hands, but I didn't want to let this thread get any kinkier that it already is
Maybe a squirt of baby oil on the carpet ?

LOL, well, if you want to get the baby oil out then that's up to you.
I would suggest using hot water and a lot of it. When washing out the cotton strips, I find that lots of water is needed. The hot wax stuff that I have doesn't need oil of any sorts to shift it, it's one of those natural based ones. Tis crap aswell LOL.
I have the plastic strip (allegedly re-useable but that's bollox aswell ) wax ones which you can't shift left over wax with water. That does need baby oil and baby oil does work very well.
Try the lots of hot water option, you may have just not used enough.

Excellent, shall give it another go tonight, thanks for the tips
Quite disappointed that I don't have to get the oil out though I'll have to make up another excuse

Believe it or not, the baby oil did the trick
A quick squirt, then rinse with lots of water and it came nice and clean
Thanks for the tips.
I'll leave you to pick the double entendres out of that one
