Maybe not the case with Omega Seamasters, but some quartz watches can be chronometers too.
Quartz - battery powered movement regulated by a quartz crystal. Generally more accurate, cheaper to produce but often considered less desirable by watch enthusiasts.
Automatic - mechanical "self-winding" movement, which if worn (ie moved) constantly will rarely have to be manually wound.
Manual - mechanical movement where the main spring is only wound via several turns of the crown.
Chronograph - a quartz or mechanical watch with several complications - not to be confused with the term "Chronometer".
Chronometer - a watch which is COSC (the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute) certified. Can be any of the above.

Just asked the wife (watch specialist at Goldsmiths) - £375 WAY TOO MUCH, this type of Omega is relatively worthless nowadays, even if it has been serviced regularly. The newer "Bond" style is the one you want to get if you have the pennies! GoldSmiths would sell these babies within hours of getting new stock in!

The mid size is the 3/4 face, not a full face diving watch, slight;y smaller.
The present seamaster is the bond style. Me and Jeremy Clarkson have one
The pre bond is the model before this one !

I have a mid-sized Bond style Seamaster Pro (because I have small wrists and the full size watch would make it me look like I was 12 and wearing an adults watch !)
Big difference I can see from the one described above is it is waterproof to 300M/1000ft and obviously has the blue face and bezel. I have to say I wouldn't have bought mine if it hadn't come with the original box, manuals and receipt as I think this makes all the difference when buying and selling secondhand.
Cheers

Recently had my full-size (Bond-style) Seamaster serviced as it was losing time after 7 years of faithful service. Paid an extra £45 (aprox.) to have the bracelet valetted. Came back like new. Money well spent......
