The Transporter - Thumbs-Up!
#2
Not a bad film, saw it a good 5 or 6 months ago??has it only just come out over here???
I saw the trailers for it in the cinema, one made me laugh where he knocks a rocket out of the way with a Tea tray, this wasnt on my version though??maybe just for the Brits.
give it 5 out of 10,
watch out for a film called Ballistic: ecks v's Sever, thats another good film

you two are having a laugh right?
I watched this tripe lst night and have to say it was the biggest pile of sh1te I have seen in a long time.
that guy should stick to playing mockney villians - his american accent is the equvalent of dick van dykes cockney accent, ie, crap.
why cast him as a yank anyway-he was living in france he might as well been cast as a geezer.
I am all for wedging tongue firmly in cheek when watching films-but this was ridiculous - gets trapped between 2 busses and surrounded by baddies - takes most of the baddies out with OTT karate, and finishes the last 2 by tying them up with his jumper
10 minutes later hes got his jumper back on after leaving it tied round 2 goons - bollocks.
save your money people, this film is bobbins.
mike.

Nah, great film.
OK, so some of the stunts etc. were a bit far fetched, but I thought the film had a good "feel" to it. Damn sight better than XXX anyway.
7/10
Cheers

The 'you are not a salmon' bloke was gorgeuos, so has my thumbs up straight away.
The funniest bit, when he was fighting all the baddies over spilt oil, brillant! Bet they were p***ing them selves when filming!
Good film

It's just a film, it's eye candy, it's not real or claiming to be. The sort of film you can leave your brain in neutral and just sit back and enjoy.

Er, you guys DO know the whole film is a big pi$$ take, right?
I thought it was funny, and an accurate take on what the "action movie" genre has become. Watch it and then watch one of the Matrix films straight after: it'll alter the way you look at them and things like them.
Overall, enjoyable: Well executed but silly set pieces, completely unbelieveable, ridiculous and very very funny.
The closing line says it all:
"Sorry about your dad"
"It's ok, he was an *******."
I mean COME ON! How much more of a send-up could it be?
I laughed all the way through.

ok guys I see your point, but, there's takin the **** & takin the ****.
For me the taxi films take the **** out of the XXX/Action genre, the transporter was just a pile of sh1te, trying to be a film that was takin the p1ss.
Although I agree with the eye candy viewpoint, the chinkie bint was vely nice .

The best part was where the Indian appeared and wanted the Geordie Boys to dismanltle the Transporter Bridge of Middlesbrough and take it to the Grand Canyon!!

It reminds me of early jackie chan films, what the the fight scenes with him using the scenary and tools around him.
The film is pretty good, Jason Stratham is a great actor, one to keep your eyes on for the future, shame the rest of the cast couldn't act.

Watched it last night - not the greatest film in the world by any stretch, but I agree with those that liked it - I thought it was entertaining and the kind of film I wanted last night - ie not having to think
mj - maybe you watched a different version, (or maybe you were so engrossed that you missed it ) but he actually gets his jumper.
After the oil fight, when hes in the water, he gets out and leaves via the busses, where he goes to the goons that he tied up and picks up a gun and his jumper.
