The offence will not affect his world championship campaign, on behalf of the Williams team, as a regular driving licence is not needed to drive a Formula One car

I did an indicated 150mph on an Autoroute last week (empty 1am), thank god I wasn't stopped. The frogs have no authority to take away the licence of a foreign national however (unless its a french one) so they can stick it where it best fits! If you read the article they confiscated it on the spot but they have to return it. He was banned from driving on French roads for 2 months- big deal.
