Hargreaves Lansdown Stockbroking account?
#1
I was going to do a bit of dabbling with shares, has anyone out there got any comments on the H-L stockbroking account, seems a reasonable deal at £9.95 per transaction and £12.50 quarterly service charge. Are there any better deals out there??

I have an account with them. Dealing interface is a bit clunky, but you can often get inside the spread with them. Cash account dealt with by RBS, also pays interest. Easy to reach on the phone too.

I tried all that and got pissed off with the cost and my lack of knowledge.
Unless you have serious knowledge or cash to make each deal successful I found the Egg Fund Supermarket to be much more worthwhile (and a little less risky).

All you do is open a savings account and then you can transfer money in to one or more funds. You can also wrpper them in an ISA to save the tax.
