wish you were here is better.

great memories of knocking round dorset at 67.5 mph (once you hit the maximum speed, you didn't slow down for anything) in a renault 4 with a ghetto blaster on the rear shelf blaring out WYWH.

I heard DSOTM for the first time last year and love it. There was a superb tribue program on TV late last night. Will round to the other albums at some point.

My first experience of PF was Run Like Hell - going to take you home to mother in a cardboard box - and Comfortabley Numb - Helloooo, is there anybody in there - on the Tommy Vance Friday Rock Show

Both tracks on the Delicate Sound of Thunder double album

I'm with you on this UB

I don't like the really early stuff (Atom Heart Mother etc) but Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here are 2 fantastic albums from the early 70's

It maybe corny, but I think The Wall is great. Also like The Final Cut and I'm a big fan of Roger Water's solo stuff too - Pros and Cons of Hitch-hiking and Amused to Death.

Great band - prefer the really early stuff "a saucerful of secrets, ummagumma, but all their stuff is good. Seen them live a few times tho never the original lineup with Syd Barrett.

Anybody remember the film Zabriski Point - great Floyd track near end when house blows up.

The Wall is a masterpiece, and i've got a few of the others.
DSOTM, WYWH, TDB etc.
I'm also well into Roger Waters, namely Amused to Death.

If you love DSOTM, go and buy the SACD version and a SACD player if you don't have one, oh, and and an amp and a 5.1 speaker setup. It is worth it

Absolutely love PF, saw them in Birmingham as a student. My first PF album was Animals, and I now have it on CD, it still gets loads of plays.

Where is the Dark Side of Oz then? Or do you mean night time like it is now Jack?

I am not a major PF fan, but I do like a lot of their records.

Quite a fan - I like Division Bell, Animals and Echoes are currently doing the rounds in the car autochanger. In fact they've been in there permanently for the last couple of months

I'm not a major fan, but do like quite a bit of thier stuff. I've got Pulse, Dark Side of the Moon, Echos, and at some point I'll get a copy of The Wall.

Shine on you Crazy Diamond is a top track, as is Wish you were here.

Lovely stuff.

Fortunate enough to see them 3 times, Wembley Stadium, Earls Court and some field in the middle of Belgium somewhere

An album that hasn't been mentioned is The Final Cut, it's not a WYWH or Dark Side but still excellent.

As far as concerts go, I enjoyed Roger Waters - 'The Wall' in Berlin 1990 more than any Floyd concert, but probably due to scale and all the guests that came along. Lifelong fan to be honest.. a good band indeed!

Fantastic band, live and recorded. There's always something of theirs in the car, currently The Wall. Oh, and Animals and Wish You Were Here.

Roger Waters is a **** but talented - Pros and Cons of Hitch-hiking is a brilliant album as well. Eric Clapton playing session guitar on it...

The Friday Rock Show..

Now that takes you back... "Its 10 o'clock, its Friday night... its the Friday Rock Show....Tommy Vance, the music vendor... TV on the radio etc... all of the jingles from that bloke from Samson/Mammoth.. cool !!

Used to get told off for having the radio under the duvet when I was supposed to be asleep...

PF are okay... mostly long-winded, self-indulgent, tennis-raquet in the mirror stuff but some songs were dead good IMHO

Run Like Hell
Comfortably Numb (live - woww !!)
Momentary Lapse of Reason album..
Amimals okay too..

Like the solo RW song from the Amused to Death album with the line about Andrew Lloyd Webber... funny !!
