hi folks

I recently sold something on ebay (used it loads of times before and never had any problems) and I cant get hold of the chap that bought it despite sending numerous emails!

I presume that as the person has won the auction its a legally binding contract for him to buy ?

Just wondering if anyone else has had this sort of problem and what they have done about it. Is there an Ebay email address or tel number I can contact for assistance?

thanks

Neil

Use the eBay Non-paying bidder programme to get the buyer blacklisted and your money back.

Yep like Lee says you can report him/her to ebay as a non payer and also leave negative feedback as well

I'd give him a bit of time first.Dont forget folks......

1.Go on holiday
2.PC's break
3.Lose email addys

etc,etc.

The reason i say this is cos i had a problem regarding an ebay sale which was out of my control and i'd hate to have had negative feedback for it.

neil,
the info is available on the Ebay site. I believe you
can obtain the persons telephone number (possibly address?)
to take the matter further

Was the item expensive? Have you lost anything by them not contacting you? Just re-list the item.

Wait for a reasonable amount of time for them to get back to you and then leave negative feedback. Notify ebay of the non payment and re-list the item. Negative feedback is not a good thing to recieve as the whole ebay thing is based on trust.

I would not be impressed if ebay gave my address or phone number out so someone could come around and threaten me simply cause my pc broke and I did not pay for a 2 quid item I bid on!

I would say only deal with payments on Ebay thru Nochex or similar. That way you will get your money.

I've sold a few things thru ebay and most times people have paid up no probs. But on the odd occasion when they don't I give them a reasoable length of time then if emails etc don't produce results, I give negative feedback and re-list the item. Not much else you can do.

Isnt it only legal & binding to buy, if the reserve is met ?
