Cannonball Europe..what would you use?

With the serious demise of a scooby block when held at high speed for long periods, what would you guys use? be as outrageous or as practical as possible!
just as a taster, for outrageous I would choose:
A noble M12
and for practical reasons I would probably choose a donkey reliable, big booted 4-door such as a:
Honda Accord Type-r

Well the only high speeds done on the Cannonball Run are the track sessions as far as I understand.
Do you mean the Gumball Rally where they don't give a toss about speed limits and that it is actually a race?
Cannonball Run I would use my Scoob as its not a road race and wouldn't matter if you had 60k car or a 10k car, just a fun trip.
Gumball Rally though would probably be a Lamborghini Murcielego or my much dreamt of Skyline R34 with some serious mods

only one way to go...
VW Camper
Seriously though apart from my skyline - which would be excellent, I think it would have to be Pagini Zonda finished in Carbon Fibre (rather than painted )

We did the Cannonball last year, cars ranged from a Mini & a Taxi to a F40 & a Lamborgini. As for speeds on the road, figures starting with 2 were achieved by some cars (Including the Nitro Audi).
As for the ideal car I'm not sure, you need a balance between speed & comfort as you will be running 3000 miles with all your gear, also a good sized fuel tank is a good idea as filling every 150-200 Miles is a pain.
The best car last year was probably the Kleeman Merc, 500+ Horses, total comfort & not a police magnet although a bit of a handful through the mountains.
As for me this year, looking at building a 300+BHP Skoda for a bit of fun if funds will allow.

Soarer... I take it all back... 'fast bloke' is not as dumb as his past posts suggests... well done for thinking before posting... yep... the ability to be discrete and do 150+ for hour after hour and do it without fatigue or discomfort is the way to go... and having such marvellous adjustable suspension would make it a real contender...
Wanna sponsor me?
I'll put my car in for it... I would bloody try to win too...

BMW 1150 GS Adventure.
30 litre fuel tank plus some more in the panniers. OK, so cruising at around 125 you'll only get about 250 miles on a tank but you'll be way quicker through traffic and if there's short cuts to be had then you'll be in with a great chance.
Or isn't that allowed?

Gotta be a Porshe Cayenne Turbo.
Big, comfortable, fast (I'd have restrictor removed), safe, relatively discrete and nothing would fall off.
And apparently pretty handy on track as well.
Ugly as **** though, but who cares when you're sitting inside.

for those distances it HAS to have speed and comfort in abundance - which can mean only one car - E55 AMG merc.
mycroft - if you don't work for toyota you should certainly try and get a job as a salesman/pr person

Diablo - did you [mean to] say a Porsche Cayenne Turbo is relatively discreet?
Erm, do you normally drive a Challenger 2, if not have you had your prescription checked recently?
