Hi,

Ive got just over a year on a 2 year personal contract hire agreement, I remember reading and someone telling me that you can in fact hand the car back after 50% of the term has passed provided everything is in order.

Anyone know anything about this?

Cheers

On contract hire I am not sure this is the case. I know it can be done with a car that was bought on finance and is therefore in your name but I think you would have to buy yourself out of the contract to cancel a hire agreement.

yep handed me van back to ford with more than a year left of the deal and they owed me money as they give you trade in value then you have to repay what is left on the agreement so what ever is left is yours

Gary,

Not the case. I'm on contract hire through IM and I've screwed up my mileage for one reason or another. Wanted to get out pay the difference and get an MY03 with PPP.

Called them up and I have to get a value from a third party. IM then send you a settlement figure being the differnce.

Because of the way bug eyes have crashed in price I have decided to leave it and suffer the pain.

However I was on a PCP before and bailed out of that early and ended up with a little equity to put into this one.

Swings and roundabouts. Next time, coz money is almost free, I'm just going to borrow teh diff and buy outright.

Dave
