Can't get mine in I have to put the wheels in the boot and the rest on the back seat, wrapped in a blanket. I don't like external carriers for drag and security reasons.

With both wheels off my Kona fitted in the back of my STi Type-R - which didn't have folding seats. It also fits (just) in the boot of my X-Type Jag without having to drop the seats.

Just get a couple of old towels and wrap the rear mech and the chain ring in it. You'll be fine.

Either that or get a big dust-sheet and stick the bike on the back seat. That's what one of the guys I ride with does (full-suss bike in the back of his brand new M3 Cabrio ).

Luckily, where we ride that have a special jetwash just for bikes, so it minimises the amount of forest we bring home with us....
