Question

Want to get a matching pair of larger type upright fridge and freezer. Any suggestions and good priced internet sites. I used to use Value Direct but they have gone bust BTW I am not in the Miele price range... Thanks David

We got a Samsung SR2029 from http://www.digiuk.com/samsung/index.asp. Cheapest place at the time. Unless you can find somewhere with them in stock at the time, then they all get delivered from the same warehouse at the same time, so go for the cheapest (!)

Mine was £1000 ish.

Thanks Steve, I had a look and that model is the American type - single unit - double door. I think I am after a pair of single units as you get more overall sstorage space (and a bit cheaper). However that model was £979 on the Samsung site compared with £1122 at QED and "high street" price of about £1199 so it shows the benefit of surfing around. Assume you are pleased with the one you got as I am tempted? D

Try shopping around for Bosch/Siemens Units at the mo. All current models just been discontinued for new ones that are very slightly more efficient. They do this every 6 months or so just to keep their ranges fresh. Two year guarantees on all Siemens Gear too now.

Very pleased David. The room is split 1/3 - 2/3 in favour of the fridge, which 'encourages' me to eat a little better. Water and ice dispenser built in and the bit that you would think is a gimmick isn't ! - the flap on the front of the fridge opens to the inside for access to milk / cold drinks and saves you opening the fridge door all the time.

They are stocked in John Lewis if you want to have a look 'in the flesh'

I got the silver one btw...

Cheers
Steve
