Was in my scooby on the new dual carriage way around Silverstone, nice road and they was a camera type thing on the side of the road, was like a speed camera type ish thing, but no flashes or square box and no marks on te road, but had a vellow square on it and it was facing towards you ????

Any ideas???

I live very near there, in fact I had a race (yes race) with a Mr. R. Burns in his road going Impreza from Siverstone to Baynards Green (Nr. J 10 M 40) have it on video, but that's another story....

Can I assume you were going toward Silverstone up the A43 (North) from the M40 direction? If so, I know the camera you are talking about... You would be on a duelcarriage way having just gone down a dip (Green Man Pub on left) and up the other side and cresting the brow on a slight left hander to be faced by this camera, right? Did it flash? If so, you are more than likely done I'm afraid. Sorry.

didn't see it flash though so hopefully all is ok, and whats more bell 350 didn't pick it up !

It's a Truvelo and does not flash as it uses infrared IIRC.

And it uses sensors in the tarmac instead of the usual radar to judge speeds, hence only GPS based detectors pick them up.

Could be one of those cameras set up to take pictures to check for road tax??

& be careful if you ever go in the opposite direction as there are 2 forward facing cameras on that side of the road

But there is always the speed camera sign just before the camera so you do have time to slow down.
