How much tax do you pay in Ireland?

Just wondering if someone could give me a benchmark %deduction for how much you get taxed in Ireland?
i.e. In UK its about 25% deduction from gross to your typical net pay

Good side is you don't pay council tax, national insurance e.t.c.
Of course if you happen to be an artist you pay 0 tax...and they used to give you a free apartment in Dublin!
