Trying to find the option to turn on Delivery Receipts for SMS messages.

The manual says it should be in

Messages > Message Settings > Delivery Reports

It ain't on mine.

Also looked in

Messages > Message Settings > Default Profile
and
Profile 1

Under both of these I get Message Centre Number, Default Recip. and Use GPRS.

Is it hidden somewhere else? It's a brand new phone AFAIK.

Chris.

If that's all you've got, which version of software are you running?

My 6310i has the following - anything else missing from yours?

From MENU : -

Messages
Call Register
Profiles
Settings
Games
Applications
Calculator
To-Do List
Calendar
Infrared
Bluetooth
Extras
Services

with the obvious sub-menus thereafter...

Is it on Orange?

Is it an Upgrade?

Have you had your SIM updates? If you haven't, you wont have all your menu's, and there is probaly other stuff that will not work either.

Orange - check

Have swapped my SIM out of my 6210 this morning and used Content Copier to bung everything over.

Have you pinched the phone, or are Orange aware you have upgraded?

If it is a new upgrade with Orange you should have a new SIM card.

During every Orange upgrade that i have done, i have always had a new SIM. It could well be that your old SIM is missing some functionality. I am sure that you can officially upgrade SIMs for a few quid - it all depends how dodgy the new phone is

I've ordered mine today after upgrading the 6210 - get it tomorrow. I'm with Orange and the guy said that I needed a new SIM card for the reasons above.
