My wife refused to let me hold it under the water in the loo and flush it!! It could have joined its mates!
She took it to the vets and they took her to the cleaners!

Sidehead - My brother in law is a vet. I know how much he earns. Believe me - it will be cheaper to flush the rabbit and buy another one.
btw - I worked for him for 10 years. Whats up with the wabbit?

I read that you're not meant to give them cabbage - wondered why?
and also the one has a couple of sneezing sessions per day. Lasting about 10 secs or something. Doesnt have runny eyes or runny nose (although nose can be a bit wet sometimes after, but only after sneezing).

Are you sure it's sneezing? If it's leaping around and looks like it's having convulsions, that is actually a sign of happiness. Ours do it all the time. If it is actually sneezing, then checking with the vet is probably the best bet - you could try phoning for some free advice if no-one else here can help.
You can feed them cabbage (our's don't actually like it though ) - you're not supposed to feed them lettuce, as it has too high a water content.

Definately going a-choo (about 10 in a row or something) and then starts washing his nose. The other one is ok tho, and its not like its cold in the house!! Maybe an allergy?

One of my Housewabbits also has the "sneeezes" took her to the vet and got some clear liquid to feed her. It cleared up the wet nose but this only made her squeal when sneezing so we stopped giving her the stuff, she is still sneezing but happier than when on medication.

Cheers for the info.
Do yours have free run whilst you are at work? I keep mine in their cage while i am at work then they are out in the evenings.
They will be out fulltime at a point soon but got a few last wires etc to sort.
When i first got the boy I managed to train him to use the litter tray, but since i've had the other one he no longer uses the tray - he returns to his cage instead. Now this is better than the floor but litter tray is easier to empty Do yours use the tray?

I have one female 5 yo and one male 1 yo (snipped) they have their own room and a 10 x 4 foot cage in it. During the day (weekdays) they stay in the cage and get let out as soon as g/friend or myself gets home but rest of time they either run about the house or at least their own room. They are both fairly litter trained (male uses cage but not always tray) but both pee in the litter tray. they have one each but prefer to share the same one but if I take away the "unused one" they both start peeing where is was. typical.

We have a pair of girl bunnies (sisters, rescued from the Blue Cross), both spayed. They live outdoors in a combined hutch / run, which is on the lawn. (Although at the rate they eat the grass, it won't be a lawn for much longer )
Both use the litter tray, and have done since we first had them - basically we put the tray where they had pooped, and scooped up any "presents" that missed and put them into the tray (well, the wife did, they're her rabbits ). After not too long they caught the hint, and 90% of their daily droppings end up in there now!

The problem i've found is the girlie bunny will sometimes pellet under my bed. The boy never goes anywhere but the cage now. They both wee in the corner of cage (on a small tray)!
Gonna get the girlie spayed soon which should cut down on the rogue pellets..
