A friend of mine had the following in a test ...
A new cinema with 760 seats has just opened. During the first week, the cinema was open seven days and ran three showings per day. A total of 11,530 tickets were sold. The target was to sell 70% of the tickets for the first week. Was the target met?
It's clearly ... target = 11,172 so target not met ... but her answer was marked incorrect !
Any ideas ?

3 showing per day x 7 days x 760 seats = 15960
70% of 15960 = 11172
11530 is greater than 11172 so target of more than 70% was met.
You say the target was not met - why?
