On Saturday I had to go with my nephew to his buliding site (he's the foreman) and pick up some breeze blocks for my sisters conservtry, any how his mate loaded them on the open back truck we hired 2 pallet loads, 150 in all, and I thought they looked a bit high but as they were strapped together no problem, any how got back on the M1 and we saw a Police land Rover hanging around on the hard shoulder, sure enough as we drove past at 40 mph may I add cos of the weight he pulled out behind me then came round me putting on his blues and pointing to the service area, So I pulled in he checked the vehicle and said I quote come on lads it is a bit high, which building site you just nicked them from.LOL.well at this point I thought I'm nicked, not at allbreak em down lads, I thought was I lucky or what, after (Peter)my nephew said where they had come from he the 2 very nice policeman just cracked up laughing, what nice blokes

whoops apologies then but i did re re read your post twice and it strongly infers they were contraband as you said you thought you were knicked when the copper asked which building site they were stolen from.
and i wasnt the only one to think so.
A bit sensitive on this issue personally as i am sick of the attitude some people have that building sites are "fair game" and a bit of sand wont hurt trouble is it only takes half a dozen people to think that and by monday morning you have no sand left and no mortar and nothing for brickies to do etc.
