Ill be up in Edinburgh in a few weeks and will be looking for a hotel/guest house to stay for a few nights. Im after somewhere thats close to the action, has a licenced bar (essential
), is not a flea pit and is at a reasonable price. (reasonable to me is less than £50 per room!)
Anyone got suggestions of places to stay with any details? Be much appreciated.

Stayed in the Apex hotel a few months ago for a stag do.
£60 quid a night for a double - book through www.laterooms.com
4 star hotel right in the grassmarket area of Edinburgh for B+B money.
Grassmarket is where you want to be.
Rooms had two king sized beds/en-suite/stereo/TV/DVD player and most important of all - free jelly sweets.
