Someone was on about it at work today.Apparently Currys sell a box,for a one off fee,and you can get extra channels.
Is it any good,any disadvantages,what channels?...

(for people who dont have sky or cable.)

SS I think you are refering to Freeview. I want to get it but don't have reception for it down here in deepest darkest south east

Lookup Freeview on BBC site and on google etc to find out more.

South East is in the dark ages for telly, no CH5 and no Freeview. reception.

see if you can buy an old ITV digi box and you can recieve all the channels the box currys will be selling

The list of channels on freeview isn't worth 100 notes.

Read a copy of the current (April's) "What Video (widescreen entertainment)" magazine (from your local newsagent) for a review of eight digital set-top boxes, plus loads of info on the DVB/Freeview topic.

I must admit that i fancy the Pace DVB hard-disk recorder box

I got a telly with built-in digital.

to be frank, it's only worth it for the quality of the broadcasts. It does look 10 times better than a normal analoug signal.

Only downside, is that I can't pick up ITV, ITV1, Channel4.

Wish they had some better channels. Bid-up TV is a load of crap. Wish they had film 4 or something...
